Bloom Where You Are Planted

Bloom where you are planted

Today’s motivation: bloom where you are planted. I’m back from my week long dream trip to Bali with my boyfriend! Thank you all for being so patient while I’ve been on a little hiatus. I really needed the time to disconnect from social media and all the buzz of the online world.Bali felt like a true paradise, watching the golden sunsets over the Indian Ocean every night, drinking wine by the beach, swimming in our private villa pool, and eating loads of delicious raw vegan pizza, sushi, and ice cream. I couldn’t have asked for a more perfect trip and to be honest I felt more at peace with myself than I have in a while.

It was nice to not be checking my phone 24/7 and to actually be super present in the real world. Sometimes, I feel this pressure to be constantly plugged in, especially as a blogger. It was nice to escape from that for a little while and have it just be me and my boyfriend. Don’t get me wrong, I absolutely love what I do. I love sharing my food journey and adventure with you all. It keeps me inspired and alive but it would be untrue not to admit that it takes its toll sometimes. It can become sort of a routine. So it was nice to break out of that and rediscover my goals and my dreams. Coming back to Hong Kong, I feel renewed and ready to tackle whatever comes at me. It’s like my whole spirit is lifted up!

Now that I’m back, I don’t want to lose this enthusiasm and drive.

I want to try my best to wake up every day as excited as I was in Bali. I think that’s the key to happiness: treating every day like it’s special. Leave all your worries and inhibitions behind. Take action, do what you set out to do, laugh a lot, and smile as much as you can.

First things first, I’m going my make myself a massive bowl of nice cream with rawnola.

Then, I’ll start working towards my dreams here in Hong Kong. As the saying goes, “bloom where you are planted”. The time is now. I’m not going to let time pass me by waiting for something to happen. Instead, I’m going to make it happen for myself. I’ve always thought that if you have drive and are kind to others, then you can truly do whatever you set your mind to! And that’s what I’m going to do.

I’m a fellow vegan and I can’t recall exactly how I stumbled across your website, but I love it. I love your graphics and positivity! I had to comment on this entry, because I’ve had the phrase “bloom where you are planted” stuck in my head all day for some reason, and then I read your blog post and there it was. 🙂
